- Payment Information: Billing address and payment method details, processed securely through our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full credit card numbers.
- Dealership Data: Vehicle inventory, customer records, deal information, financial data, and other business data you enter into the Service.
- Communications: Messages you send to us through support channels, email, or contact forms.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, clicks, session duration, and interaction patterns within the Service.
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, IP address, device identifiers, and screen resolution.
- Cookies and Tracking: We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
- Vehicle data from VIN decoders and market data providers used to enrich inventory listings.
- Authentication data from social login providers (e.g., Google) if you choose to use them.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Process transactions and manage your Subscription.
- Send transactional communications (account confirmations, billing notices, security alerts).
- Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
- Generate aggregated, anonymized analytics to improve our product (individual dealership data is never shared).
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service Providers: Trusted third parties who help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting providers, payment processors, email delivery services). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of LotPulse, our users, or the public.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate notice to affected users.
- With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize sharing with a third party (e.g., enabling an integration).
4. Data Security
We implement robust security measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).
- Row-level security (RLS) ensuring dealerships can only access their own data.
- Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Access controls and authentication requirements for all personnel.
- Secure, SOC 2-compliant cloud infrastructure.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your Account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After Account termination:
- Customer Data is available for export for 30 days, then permanently deleted.
- Account information is retained for up to 12 months for legal compliance and dispute resolution.
- Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.
6. Your Rights Under PIPEDA
You have the right to:
- Access โ Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction โ Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Withdrawal of Consent โ Withdraw consent for processing where consent is the legal basis (this may limit your ability to use the Service).
- Deletion โ Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child, we will promptly delete it.
